Hi. New to the forum

Setup:
I have several trucks with a new Galaxy Tab S9 with delivery software and I need a smaller printer that uses A4 sheets. Currently HP Officejet 200
The S9 have SIM card for network access but there is no network in the truck

My setups
1. S9 with WiFi-Direct to the HP printer.
Problems: The connection is not strong and sometimes the S9 can not find the printer. aAditional problem is if the truck driver searches for the printer, he can see the printer in the truck next to him = problems

2. S9 with USB-hub and a USB cable from S9 to printer
Problems: Even with HP Smart Plugin-app the connection is lost and when it does work it prints slow (real slow)

So far:
I have used S9 on board print service, HP's app, and Mopria-app for WIfi-Direct printing. All have the same problems as I mentioned before
I have used Samsung USB-hub with new cables for cable-printing, but the same problems with lost connection and very slow printing.

Question:
Is there a way to lock the S9 to a specific printer using WiFi-Direct?
Is there any useful software for USB-cable printing (HP's own not helpful)

FYI: 4G-router is not an option for local WiFi on the truck for security reasons

HP printers are the best printers in quality but the absolute worst in connectivity.

Cable printing will wear out the port on those tablets fast if they are constantly connecting and disconnecting. Especially if you add the need for charging in the mix.

Consumer Reports is a joke. They claim they buy everything and nothing is provided to them. Yeah, sure, they are affording everything in subscriptions.

If you can still return them, return them and get another brand. I literally threw the first printer out over the 2 story deck because it pisses me off so much trying to get it to work reliabley. Second and third ones started fine then started doing the same crap. Then work for a while then stop again. It's rinse and repeat with HP. They've embedded their proprietary printing crap so deeply into their printers that printing without it barely works if at all and with their software it works when it wants to.
