Can't separate the ringer and notification volume

[Android Central Question]

I got a new P20 lite and the ringer and notification volume are combined which is a huge issue for me. I want the ringer's volume loader than the notification's but there's no seperation. I tried downloading the volume control app but it's connected on that as well. Any suggestions on a different app?
