ZTE Blade update problems

[Android Central Question]

I have a ZTE Blade™ Z MAX on Metro PCS and have noticed a problem.

Whenever I try to download an app, it sits with no progress bar. Where the progress bar usually is, it just sweeps across like it is waiting for the download to begin.

It will do this for a long time. If I restart the phone, it will download immediately, otherwise, it just continues like it is waiting for the download to begin.

Has anyone seen a problem like this before? Any ideas how to get my apps to download like they should?

What I have tried: Stop the google store app, clear cache, clear data.....

I know this is just an annoying problem, but damn is it annoying...

Welcome to Android Central! Go to Settings>Apps, tap Menu>Show System, and select Download Manager. Clear Cache/Data from that, and see if the problem persists.

Does this happen on both wi-fi and mobile data?
