Remove Account for Email app missing

[Android Central Question]

Hello, I have an SMTP email provider set up in the normal, stock android application. I have watch many videos on how to remove the address but they all show a 'Remove Account' at the bottom of the settings page, I do not have this.

I tried to Clear Data and Clear Cache and then Force Stop the email app like I read in another thread but this did not remove the address from my email application.

My software versions are:

Android version 8.0.0

current version: OCLS27.76-69-4

security patch level May 1, 2018

and I have all updates installed as of 07/08/2018

so can you please help me with this issue? I have tried a 'long hold' on the account in the 'settings' page but no matter how long I hold for it will just enter the main settings page for that email address and then the last menu item at the bottom is outgoing server settings not remove account. What do I do? There is no menu item that is even close to remove account and there are no other menus like the three vertical dots in the upper right corner that is sometimes there. HELP!!
