    Such things sometimes happen, but all personal data previously backed up will be restorable.

    Welcome to Android Central! More details would be helpful. Which phone? Did it go to the Setup Wizard after the reboot?

    These days, it's very easy to make sure your important contacts, photos, and other data are synced or backed up to your Google account (or other cloud storage). Since it sounds like you didn't do this, make sure you learn how to avoid future problems like this.
