Why isn't my select function not working?

[Android Central Question]

If I try to press and hold my finger on anything it doesn't bring up any options. This is happening in all apps such as Facebook, trying to copy/save anything from Chrome, and even trying to select to copy text messages. This has been like this since the last system update.

Welcome to Android Central! Which phone? Any other problems with touch, or is it just the long-press context menus?
