Phone Storage Problem

[Android Central Question]

Hi everyone. I had this problem for some time now and it frustrates me so much is undescribable. I have a Samsung Galaxy J5 (2015) which is truly a really good phone and I never had any problems with it. Let me note that I have added a 8GB SD card in it. A couple months ago the phone got really full somehow even though everything was and is moved to my sd card. I ignored it and thought that i just had to delete some junk that was forgotten in the internal storage. I went recently to my file manager and checked the internat storage only to see that it is completely EMPTY. Which only means that all my photos/videos/mudic etc plus the one app I have (since I can't download more) is on the SD card...but the phone still seems filled to the brim. I can't do anything including recieving texts and accessing my photo gallery.. I cleared app catche and rooted my phone but nothing changed. Please help! I really cannot afford a new phone right now.
