How would someone know my exact locatio. If my phone is on airplane mode

How do I know if my phone had me hacked and spy ware was installed

Not an easy task (both to get hacked like that or to find it, if installed). On Airplane mode all radios are turned off, BUT you can still turn elements back on individually, so you'd see Location come on. Your phone also shows the location indicator if any service is requesting it at any point.

The "method" the person is using is more likely "human engineering" than hacking. s/he has a friend who knows where you are and is texting your location. Or just staying with you and the person is tracking their location - so they know where you are too. Something like that. (It's a lot easierto get someone to go along with a joke than to learn enough to actually hack a phone.)
