Don't get the prompt for password entry at wifi hot spots.

[Android Central Question]

I have the Samsung Galaxy Tab A6. When I go to use a free WIFI hotspot, at times they require their password. I never get the prompt or their website to enter their password.

I've look thru the settings & don't see anything causing the site from being blocked. I know for a fact the hot spot requires a password (used my laptop), so I'm expecting a web page prompt.

Suggestion?

Are you using the stock browser to open a page after connecting? If not, try visiting a site you usually don't visit (cached versions of webpages might interfere with the password prompt).

Welcome to Android Central! Also, go to Settings>Apps, tap Menu>Show System, and look for a system app called CaptivePortalLogin. Make sure it's not disabled.
