Android Central Question

What does mean "open links in supported apps, even if the apps aren't installed on your phone".

I found this option in options>apps>default apps>set as default. What does it mean?
What does it do?

It's part of Instant Apps - you can load an app from the \play store, run it, then it deletes. In this case, if you tap a pdf file and don't have a pdf reader, you'll be given a choice of pdf readers available on your Google account, the app will load and read the file. When you close the app, it gets deleted. (If you have more than 1 Google account, you'll be asked to choose one when you check that to work.)

And thanks - I never noticed it. Mine is now set to my main account.
