Is there a way to transfer, download or in some way obtain my phones sms online?
I recently lost my phone and couldn't get a replacement for a few days. I was able to view my emails and call logs, but not text. That is my main form of communication so this left my customers in the dark and sadly, some were not very understanding.
So I'm wondering if there's a way, through google or something I can access the messages if my phone is lost, stolen or dead

If you backed up online before it got lost then yes. But sounds like you didn't. Google doesn't backup your SMS online. Samsung does if you activated your Samsung account though.

Check with your phone service carrier. Some carriers have a website that lets you view old SMS messages (for n months) and send SMS messages.
