Honor note 10 (Chinese Version) defalt launcher

[Android Central Question]

My phone updated about a week ago and i cannot change the launcher any more for some reason? I had a look on the default apps but the default launcher / home option is completely gone?

Is there any way around this? I was using Nova launcher (I can still open the app) but then when i go on nova settings to change default launcher, the option to choose the home is not there either.

It might depend on the update level. As I recall, with the Pixel 2, at one point the Pixel launcher didn't show up either (not even in Nova's default launcher setting). It does now, though - and in the app drawer, which it didn't, so there may be a security patch level with a bug that hides the default launcher for some stupid reason (like a typo in Android) and you're stuck in it.

Just a thought.

I have the same problem's.
The setting pages have both of these issue's.

No default launcher to pick from?
And
From Nova launcher, the default apps and advanced are grayed out?

Same problem here since last update I change default launcher to Huawei home and no longer can change to any other launcher. They all show up in the default list but not possible to choose and in the top a red warning explain that if Huawei home is chosen to your launcher you can no longer change it. Is this the future of Huawei? First bootloader unlock and now even the launcher is blocked. Very desapointed.
