Hi, I have a Galaxy S8 and the voice compression with VoLTE when there's any background noise is horrendous. I have turned off VoLTE for calls that I initiate, but bizarrely it's still available to callers when they initiate the call. This is pretty crap, why would they not let us disable VoLTE altogether?
Anyway, even if I make the call with VoLTE turned off it's still pretty bad. I'd love to be able to force it to lock to 3G only for voice, but this doesn't appear to be an option on the S8.
Does anybody know if there is a current, reasonably functional Android phone that will allow me to force it to use only 3G for voice, please? Thanks.
