I understand that there are apps that get installed with products - but what or how does one remove those apps if they no longer exist within the Google Play store?

I have a couple of applications, like the MOG music app that no longer is a 'thing' and would very much like to remove it [as well as others from my android device]

Is this possible or does one still have to root the device to get them off ..

If it's installed as a system app you have tobe rooted to uninstall it - whether it's in the Play Store or not. If it's installed as a user app, you just uninstall it.
