Can't use my keyboard

I received a system upgrade today and after update I the phone is restarted. I was using shouxin input before this update and it keeps telling me the input keeps stopping and I couldn't type my password to unlock the phone. I guess the input is too old and it won't work for the new system but the original keyboard didn't show up neither. What should I do?

Unfortunately, you will have to Hard Reset your phone, which will delete all your data. I'm afraid there is no other way, sorry

Welcome to Android Central! You could try connecting a basic USB keyboard via OTG cable and enter the password that way.
