I am getting error when trying to install apps, insufficient memory. I believe my Spotify is the culprit I have over 2000 songs, to add memory do I need to replace the old memory card? I saw a scandisk, is that for memory, it appears it's inserted where my charger goes and not internally.

See if Spotify can be set to use the SD card. If it can, then you need a larger card.

Some apps use only internal "memory" (actually internal storage - both the card and "internal memory" are storage), so what the phone has, it has, and there's no way to increase it. Which way Spotify works is up to Spotify, check its settings.
