Android Central Question

I was transferring images from my device storage to my google drive when suddenly it stopped transferring. When i checked my images they were all removed while only 154 out of 1448 made it into the drive. Is there anyway to get those lost images back?

Were you using the backup function? That wouldn't delete anything from your device, just copy your files. I know Google Photos has an archive function that will transfer to the cloud storage and delete photos to clear space on your phone, but that's not something I've tested. I would expect that to not delete anything until confirming the uploads.

It almost sounds like something corrupted. You can try file recovery programs and see what they find. If you go that route, stop using your device until you can run the recovery program to prevent any salvageable info from being overwritten.

This is, of course, assuming you're referring to your device when you say those images are lost. If you meant they are lost on Google Drive, then check your device and they should still be there. In that case, just restart the transfer.
