Android Central Question

Hi! I love texting/saving texts on my phone, but really hate how the current update has altered the way my messages look.
I see an option to "uninstall updates" in my phone settings for messages, but I'm afraid I'll lose all my conversations if I revert to "factory settings" - would this happen?

Also, if it doesn't loose the actual texts, is there a chance that the original version of the app wouldn't support images and emojis?

All help appreciated!

Nope, that option will only revert the app back to the factory-installed version (or the version you installed for the first time). Only if you clear the message database (sepparate from the app) would you lose your messages. Not sure which version you'd be going back to but it all depends on that. Also, some services might be restricted if you don't use the latest version.

Also, bear in mind that if your phone is set up to do it, reverting to the original version would only let you use that for a little bit, then automatically prompt to update again.
