My vpn disconnects every 5 minutes. Have tried more than one app and its the same my phone is an android 7.0.

Is the connection constantly active? Some types of VPN protocols cannot stay connected unless there's a constant data stream (like actively downloading a file or streaming video). Have you tried the same VPN on another device?
