My phone suddenly started downloading a lot of random stuff, and now I don't have free space. Help?

The title really says all. Whenever I have any free storage space on my phone, the download manager notification pops up and says that sometimes up to hundreds of random jpgs and pngs are downloaded. How do I stop it? I enjoy being able to take pictures, but now I can't since I don't have the room anymore.

Welcome to Android Central! Are these inappropriate pics (like porn)? Chances are that you installed an app that carries adware or malware. Uninstall apps one by one until the problem goes away.
