How can I stop the sudden flurry of pop ups and other ads?

I've been experiencing unusual traffic on my ANS phone. Found some malware and deleted it. Installed Firefox with uBlock Origin, which works great on my laptop.
But the ads just keep coming. Help!

Welcome to Android Central! Based on other posts about the ANS phones for the Lifeline plan, that phone seems to have preinstalled adware, so you might not be able to get rid of it.
