S9 after pie update Android Auto issues

Hello,

I recently updated to android pie. before this, I had no issues with android auto and my 2016 F150s sync 3 system. After the update when using maps android auto(on sync 3 screen) will lose connection to the GPS once my screen goes black. I have tried all the different smart lock setting and nothing is working... Any ideas?

Same problem after update. Galaxy S9 with Sonata 2018. GPS signal lost when phone screen go off. At least now I know its not me or my phone it's a bug o something else. Hope fix this soon

Not sure it is the best fix but I went into the developer options menu (it is hidden) then set the screen to not lock while on charger. Seems to be working fine.
