Phone doesn't work after new update

New update has ruined my phone. I pay for unlimited data, but my phone no longer works unless I'm on wifi. My messages doesn't work right. Only half go thru. And my battery dies twice as fast. Help! I'm an android purist, never had an iphone. But if this isn't fixed, I'm heading to the apple store.

Welcome to Android Central! If it's possible, try wiping the cache partition. If that doesn't help, a factory reset can sometimes be useful in this situation. If the problem still persists, then contact the carrier (assuming the phone was purchased from a carrier -- in those situations, the carrier is responsible for the modified update, and you should be asking them anyway about the problems with calls and texts).

Threats to move to iPhone don't really matter much to us here, since this is an independent community forum that is not directly affiliated with Google, Samsung, or any other company.
