Incoming calls are not showing contact names just numbers

[Android Central Question]

I have a Galaxy S8 active. All my contacts are stored in my phone but when I have an in coming call it does not show the contact name, just the phones number. How can I get it to go back ti showing contacts. I have tried everything and went to the AT&T and they said that they could not help me.

Be sure to go back to AT&T and tell them about the fix, which so far as I can see is to Force Stop and Disable the AT&T Call Protect app in Settings, Apps.
