Voicemail is not notifying me?

I have an LG G7.. the voicemail never notifies me? Ive always had an iPhone... so, i checked and its set for a sound. but like for the number should it be my phone number or should it be *86 (verizon)? or *86 and my pin?

lol i just found a vm from october!

anyway. I cant find the app? I searched for Verizon, and Verizon Voicemail, and Verizon Visual... nothing

oh.. its a built in app isnt it.. well, my stupid phone is a US Cellular.. not a VZ. so 1/2 the crap doesnt work right. Like, I cant even get 4g

You mentioned Verizon in your first post so I assumed you were on Verizon

so it doesnt have the Verizon SW...is there a way to get the vz software?

I am using an unlocked US Cellular phone on Verizon. I had to call Verizon to have them remove both basic and premium Visual Voicemail from my account. Once they did that, my voicemail notifications showed up as traditional voicemail notifications.

Did you have issues getting it to even work? they gave me a new sim and it WOULD NOT work on VZ.. then a sales rep just swapped my iphone sim into it and it works (just no 4G)

No issues at all getting my LG V20 to work. The voicemail was the only issue. My device is on 4G LTE.

I didn't have that problem, but I checked my imei on Verizon's website before even getting a SIM from them.

I don't believe so unless you flash the Verizon version OS
