I have 2 Huawei Nova 5T (Honor 20 I believe) and a Xiaomi Redmi 11S.
I'm in Australia on the TPG/Vodafone network.
Up until the end of November 2023 they worked fine. If a voicemail was available, we would receive a sound and a banner notification and in the Google Messages app there would be an unread message from voicemail notifying me of 1 or 2 or X messages.
The voicemail alert notifications suddenly stopped on the devices from around the first week of December 2023. So the only way to know I have new voicemail is to go in the Messages app and to see a new unread message from voicemail, it may contain 1, 2, 3 or X messages.
I successfully tested deleting the voicemail notification sms and when I receive a new voicemail, I receive all the expected alerts. But once I have the voicemail SMS on the phone in the Google Messages app it won't alert me again.
Could anybody think of something I could try to resolve this?
