Need to remotely reset my password

[Android Central Question]

I am on business travel for the first time with my Google pixel 2 and it won't accept my password. It also does not show up on the map for Find my phone but I have it with me in Ireland. It last shows in Seattle. I know I have used 2 different passwords and neither are working. How can I get my phone going and not lose my information?

Welcome to Android Central! Unfortunately, you can't remotely reset the password. Find My Device will only let you create a screen lock password if the phone didn't have one in the first place, but if the phone already has one, you'll be told it's not necessary to create a password. You'll have to keep trying to remember your password.

Remember, most of your Google-based information will still be accessible on the web, assuming you still remember your Google account password and your account was properly set to sync on the phone.
