Regarding that issue, most people suggest using Nova launcher but is there an app/widget or solution other than using launcher to have badge icons for ALL apps??
Unread count badges are entirely up to how the launcher is designed. Most stock launchers only support badges for certain apps, not all, which is part of the reason why Nova (and others like it) are so popular -- 3rd party launchers give you a lot more flexibility with how your homescreen looks and behaves. There used to be an app on the Play Store called Notifyer that could give you unread count badges on most if not all apps, but I think it worked by creating a widget to replace the app shortcut icon. It's no longer available (not sure why), and I'm not aware of a similar app.

Is there a great app providing full content notification on both lock screen and home screen??
On most Android phones, if you swipe down your notification panel, and then swipe down a little bit on a notification like that, it'll expand the notification so that you can read more. (Huawei always wants to be different, so it might not work like that on your phone.)
