Can bubble size be adjusted on Google's messaging app?

[Android Central Question]

When I'm composing a text (using the resident app on my new Pixel3a), I can see only a few lines at a time. It's tricky trying to scroll back up in a tiny field to proofread what I've written. This was not an issue on the messaging app on my last phone, a Samsung Galaxy. I can't find any setting that allows the size of the bubble to be changed. Any suggestions?

Welcome to Android Central! Not that I'm aware of. Have you adjusted the default font size to a large one in the system settings? If so, you could try adjusting them back down, but that can be a problem if your eyesight isn't great.
