Why is my song info resetting??

[Android Central Question]

I ha e owned two android phones and on both the same problem has occurred.

I changed the song info on the music app so that I could sort them into playlists but whenever I re open the music app all the data has reset to the names in my download folder and have been removed from all albums.

This is rediculous, a
I don't have time to change my song names every time I want to listen to them.

What phone do you have? What app are you using for your music? Are these music files stored in device storage or on an SD card? What format are the music files?

I am using a Huawei P Smart 2019, the songs are not my SD card and they are mp3
