Muffled sound on bluetooth calls since Androie Pie 9.0 update

Since updating both of our Moto G6 phones my husband and I are having problems with bluetooth calls from both of our vehicles. The person we call cannot hear us clearly, even with the volume turned all the way up, and that person's voice sounds muffled to us. I tried unpairing and reconnecting my phone from my vehicle, but the problem persists.

Hi , thanks for registering
Have you tried resetting network settings ?
That will reset all network on the phone WiFi,data, Bluetooth and need to enter password and pins again.
