Hello, im experiencing something really weird.
I have a Samsung Galaxy tab a (2019) and when i acces a website like 9gag, it gives me the mobile version of it.

My tablet runs android 9 an samsung UI 1.
    Screen resolution is 1920x1200

I checked with another Tab A (2016) and it works juet fine.
Hers is Android 8 and same screen resolution.

I dont know wich one to blame this fault, Samsung or Google.

My question is: Does Android decide to show me the mobile version of the sites due to my screen res?
I am super lost on this?

Welcome to Android Central! Which browser are you using? When you're on that website, tap Menu and look for a Request Desktop Site option.

Hello, it happens with any browser.

Also note that i compared my tablet with my gf's tablet, wich is the same tablet with the only difference that mine is newer (2019, hers: 2016).

Her tablet shows websites as it should (without requesting desktop version) and mine not.

This is why i'm asking here, because it seems a bit strange to me.

    thnks

Part of the info sent from your device to the internet server is the OS version and browser version.
Based on this, the internet server will decide which version of the website you see.
Many sites will let you manually choose mobile or desktop from a menu somewhere.
Some web browsers may also let you choose.
