Why is my finger sensor is not working for my samsung j7 prime?

One time suddenly my fingerprint stop working whenever i go to the settings and fingerprints it always say an error has occurred in the fingerprint sensor what should i do? Please help me

I guess you could also try flood-cleaning the sensor with alcohol.

Or, if you're in the southern hemisphere, and it's cold (and dry if you're inside and have heat) consider that cold or dry (the air dries as it's heated, drying your fingertips) fingerprints usually don't work. (They're too dry to be read.)

It's a problem with almost all fingerprint sensors, the ones in the Home button, the ones in the screen, the ones on the back of the phone - they all use different technology, and all fail in the winter. (Maybe, one day, we'll develop a fingerprint sensor that works as well as a 10 cent magnifying glass.)

Welcome to Android Central! Have you already tried rebooting? What about Safe Mode? https://support.t-mobile.com/docs/DOC-30290. You might also try a factory reset as well.
