Android Central Question
When you uninstall and re-install WhatApp, it only ever confirms detection of and prompts restoration of a google drive backup (if one exists of course)...
...Does following that restore procedure automatically also incorporate the latest local database (whether the current or an older one renamed to current)? In case the google drive was a few days old (sometimes cloud backups fail or are preferred over wifi, or the frequency is just not daily).
If not, then when is the local backup really useful, because it seems if you "skip" the google drive backup restoration, the chat history is actually empty even though there exist several days of local backup? Is it just for the ones not using google drive?
Thanks
