Android Central Question

I just installed the new android 10 update and have a few things a already hate after about 5 minutes and wondering if there's fixes. 1) in the notification tray, there used to be the media control and devices section where it was just a drop down menu and not an entire new page. Is there a way to go back to the old version? 2) I've hated this for years on my moms iPhoneX when Apple decided to add a giant chunk of useless space on the keyboard at the bottom. I've never understood why it was there and now android adapted it and I'm extremely annoyed. Is there a way to get rid of the useless chunk of screen?

What device are you asking about? I believe all of the Samsung Galaxy 10 series devices (Note, S10, S10e, etc) are getting the update now, is it one of those?

Can you post screenshots of what you're asking about? Have you checked your device or keyboard theme, maybe the update isn't working right with the one you have selected.

I'm on an s10. I use SwiftKey for my keyboard and I've looked at my themes and setting and everything seems to be fine. I attached 1 screenshot of the keyboard issue and 1 of the notification tray issue. It fairly small stuff but i liked the ease of use with the old notification tray and keyboard being about 1/4 inch higher up on the screen is really throwing off my typing

Another issue I just realized is massive color difference from my lockscreen to my home screen. When it unlocks and the colors get much more of a pink tone

1. It's not possible to change the Smart Things layout
2. There is no big space using the standard messaging app. Clearly it's a problem with SwiftKey which needs to be addressed by the developers

I don't think it's a SwiftKey bug. It's there on the stock Samsung keyboard as well

Found the fix. If you go to settings>display>navigation bar> and turn off "show button to hide keyboard" it takes away the very unnecessary blank chunk of space dedicated to a tiny button. Might just be a weird personal thing but it bothers me. Maybe this can help someone else who feels the same

Also found the fix for the color changing with the wallpaper. It's a setting in the night mode settings that applies "night mode" to the your home screen wallpaper and that's it. Not sure what the point is as it just barely shifts colors of one specific item. Go settings>dsiplay>night mode> apply to wallpaper
