Hello everyone!

My Huawei MediaPad 10 Link (model S10-201u, Android 4.x) is too old to run YouTube or any modern apps from the Play Store. I’ve tried clearing data, but no luck.

I understand it's a legacy device, but I'd like to explore any possible options to give it limited functionality.

Is there a working custom ROM or a way to install an older YouTube APK that still works? Or a lightweight browser that can handle YouTube’s mobile site?

Not looking for perfect performance - Just want it to be usable for basic video playback. Any step-by-step guide or link would help.

Thanks.

As B.Diddy says a web app might work, that of course depends on whether or not you can find a browser that would work with kitcat.
You could try XDA developers someone there might be working on a more modern OS for that but I wouldn't hold my breath.

Even web browser is not opening. I just want to run YouTube on tab - I know it's a pretty old model, nobody would even buy it, so I thought giving it a try to see if only YouTube can work fine in it.

It won't open play store. I gave the tab to a tech who said updating might make it work but so far no dice. The tab is not updating. Any idea how can it be updated?
