[Android Central Question]

Hi, I have a Galaxy Tab A 10.5 SM-T590. I want to copy files onto it from a Garmin Edge 500. I'm connecting using an OTG USB cable, but the tablet can't see the files, and the settings say This Tablet Couldn't Switch. I can only charge the Garmin.
I can copy files onto the tablet from memory sticks OK. Also there's no problem copying files from the Garmin onto Windows devices.
Is the Garmin Edge 500 incompatible with Android, or am I missing something? Is there an app which I could use?

Welcome to Android Central! I'm guessing that was never a feature of the device. It's quite old, and the manual only mentions connecting via PC using specific Garmin software, so it's probably not able to connect as an MTP device. https://static.garmincdn.com/pumac/Edge_500_OM_EN.pdf

Hi, thank you for your replies. I managed to fix this by accident, plus trial and error. Start the Garmin 500 by pressing the 2 left hand buttons together, which puts it into mass storage mode. Then connect to Galaxy using otg cable. It works!
