can i replace my pixel 1 camera with pixel 3 camera

im buying a seconnd handphone which is a pixel 1. the seller says they changed the camera with the pixel 3

No not possible 2 different cameras and connections. Should be careful buying 2nd hand phones from private sellers .

That's the camera app, not the camera modules. It does improve the camera quite a bit. No OIS, but otherwise, about the same rear camera. (The front camera in the 3 is much improved.) And, of course, you don't have the Visual Core chip, so processing pictures is a bit slower.
