This is a strange one.
Phone is Huawei p30 Pro on the EE network
EMUI version 10, Android 10
Problem only been happening for past 5-6 days with no app changes or updates
I have a works laptop that uses the cisco anyconnect VPN to access work.
When I connect to my HotSpot the laptop connects and the VPN connects but I am unable to access the internet or any network related apps, file shares etc..
When other people in the office enable hotspot on their phones also on EE and also various of android Huawei phones they and myself can connect via our works VPN.
No one can connect if using my Hot spot.
We then tried their EE SIM card in my phone and again everything works fine both with and without VPN.
So, Other peoples EE and none EE sims work on my phone and am able to connect.
My Sim in other peoples phones or them using my hot spot does not.
It rules out my phone as others peoples sim cards work.
I also have cyber ghost VPN on another personal laptop,
When I enable hotspot on my phone the laptop can access internet fine.
As soon as I enable cyber ghost, again I am not able to browse.
So it appears it does not matter if I use personal or private work VPN I can not access the internet!
This all points to something being blocked by EE on my personal SIM account.
Having contacted EE, they say nothing is blocked, they have done a refresh and forced my phone to reboot. But still the same.
They have ran out of ideas,
Has anyone else come across something so strange or have any other ideas.
