Android Central Question

Hi
Hope you're doing well
Recently whenever I try to download music on my huawei p30 pro on mp3 juices the music downloads but it doesn't show up on my music app or on Google play music. I only find the music when I go into Chrome and then go to my downloads
Can you please help me?

Welcome to Android Central! Try changing the download directory location in Chrome's settings.

MP3 Juice and all other "free" mp3 downloading apps/services are all of questionable legality (which is obvious, when you think about it -- all of those current pop hits that you're trying to download for free were not intended to be free by the artists who worked hard on them). This is most likely the reason why the MP3 Juice app is no longer available in the Play Store.

Might I assume that they play from the download app?

My feeling is along the same lines as B. Diddy. The app may have a no.media file in its save location. It may be doing this to prevent discovery of unauthorized download materials by legitimate players or it may encrypt the files in a way that requires you to use their app so that ads may be included. Essentially a way of paying for its use or the app.

It is likely your music app is not set up to look for music in download. Move the files to where the music that plays is located which may be in a sub folder of the app

Also, if you're actually using the Google app to download these files (and not the Chrome browser), then go to Settings>Apps, select Google, then Permissions, and make sure Storage permission is on.

Hadn't thought of this because it's kinda old school. Back in the day, I remember on my Incredible and Rezound, having to put music in a music folder and not going more than a couple of layers deep when doing so. If you put a folder inside of a folder inside your music folder it couldn't find it then either. Hahaha. The good old days. Anymore it seems everything finds everything everywhere, some times when you don't want it to.
