Stagefright Update - When?

Anybody know when the ZF2 will be getting the Stagefright update? Never mind! Lookout's Stagefright detector app says the ZF2 is NOT affected by it.

Even though lookout says it's not vulnerable, Zimperium's app says it is and they are the ones who both found the exploit and gave Google the fix for it. An Asus rep in the ZenTalk forum said they have the patch but only have "soon" as a release date. In the meantime, disable auto-retrieve of MMS.

Good question, and it bothers me that ASUS has made not comments about support for security patches as the other OEM's have already. This is concerning especially if they want to be considered as a serious contender in the market. I have read comments that this vulnerability is targeted towards ARM based chips and since ours is Intel not based on ARM technology we may be a bit safe for now. However it doesn't excuse a company from ignoring the risks that are present. Comment either way.

Got the update for my ZP2 before my Nexus 7 2013 tablet. Wow.

I installed the update on my zenfone2, the stage fright detector app still says vulnerable
