Looking for opinions

I just read an article that actually featured a VP ftom ZTE saying that the sound on the new mini is actually improved over the A7. So, how is the sound on the A7 thru headphones. I use Bose. The reason I'm asking is because I carry an S7 edge on Verizon and a pixel on fi. So the mini would be used for music listening with the ability to use data if needed. I'd put my data only sim in it from project fi. I'm asking here because the mini is so new, there's nothing in their forum. I realize the entire phone, except for the audio is a step down from the A7, but at the lower price and size, I think it'll fit me nicely.

I have both the Axon 7 and the mini. The mini is pretty much the same as the regular Axon 7. The speaker is a tad louder then the Axon 7. The headphone jack is pretty much the same for me. Be aware the mini has a weaker cpu/gpu. Project Fi is a hit or miss on non google phones. Some it to work other can't.
