Hi everybody

I'm currently working on my first own game. Have previously made some games with friends (most successful is Eskimo Tower Defense), but this is my first project on my own. Would really appreciate some feedback on my work so far. Currently got 10 levels and 2 difficulties, along with a Arcade Mode.

The game idea is the typical box stacker. The blocks are falling down and your job is to catch them and balance them for a period of time. You control the platform by tilting the phone left or right. The idea is for this game to be more advanced with time, with more modes and special blocks.

WOULD PLEASE LIKE SOME FEEDBACK ON THE FOLLOWING:
  1. Compability (How does it scale and work on your different devices?)
  2. Thoughts and suggestions on the current graphics
  3. Suggestions on new modes and features

Tested devices so far: HTC Desire (2.2), ZTE Blade (2.2), Milestone (2.1) Galaxy S, LG Opitmus 2X (2.2), HTC Hero (menu does not display)

Please not that the graphics is far from done and will definitely change to the final version.

Hope to hear from you soon!

Tested on the HTC Thunderbolt.

The game is great! I love the idea and it's really addicting.

1. I wish it would run a little smoother, it seems a bit jerky and the tilt could definitely be more responsive to the accelerometer.

2. The graphics look great! You pretty much nailed this one as the backgrounds are beautiful and the blocks are nicely colored, yet simple.

3. A new feature that would be nice would be a one time tutorial upon the first time playing the game.

Overall, nice job!

Thanks for you feedback!

1. Yes, will try to make the blocks fall smoother for next weeks release. Will add a small fps-counter so people can compare performance between devices. Have you tried the Sensitivity option from the main menu? There you can select the responsiveness for the bottombar.

2. Thanks!! :)

3. Good idea. Will definitely add this in the future.

Hi again.

Posted an update on the game now. Changes are:

  • New Water world (!)
  • Save game progress
  • Level selection
  • New bubble particle effect
  • Options to remove animations/particle effects
  • More stable blocks when moving bottom block
  • Minor bugfixes

Having some performance issues on my HTC Desire though, the blocks fall a bit "laggy". Would be nice to hear how the animations impact the performance on your devices! Animations can be turned on/off in the Options from the main menu.
