HP Laptop won't connect to Blackberry STV100

i have a Fujitsu laptop than connects no problem to my BlackBerry STV100 tethered hotspot but my HP laptop cannot see it. Why? the problem surely cannot be my mobile as it works with other laptops. what do i need to change on my HP laptop for it to work? Any ideas? both my Fujitsu and HP laptops run Windows 7 but my Fujitsu laptop is 64 bit whereas my HP laptop is 32 bit. Help.

Thanks, I posted it on Android Central as the phone is powered by Android software and didn't realise there was any differentiation.

No problem -- remember that there are literally thousands of different Android phones, each with some variation of software and hardware, so it's always helpful to know which device you're talking about.

Are you tethering via wi-fi or USB?
