I have 2 great i7 PCs but once in a while I would like to do some web browsing outside the office.

I looked at an hp and acer chrome book, the acer screen was dull and while there was good brightness on the hp, I would like more contrast.

Can anyone recommend an inexpensive, 14" Chrome with a vivid screen.

How are they for web browsing ?

Amazon has an white hp for $150, renewed. Any comments ?

Welcome to Android Central! It's hard for me to comment directly -- I just got an HP X360 Chromebook 14 from Best Buy, which has a very good screen (although not as good as my Pixelbook, which is superb). I'm not sure how my HP's screen compares with the one you mentioned, since the X360 is higher end than the more basic Chromebook 14.

Is there a Best Buy near you? They've expanded their Chromebook section significantly over the past few years, so you can get a better idea of the display quality there.

Chromebooks are terrific for web browsing -- one could argue that's what they were designed for in the first place. If you do most things online, you might find that you use your Windows PCs less and less.
