Re: Links in emails aren't "links"--they are plain text...
AHA! I found how to get clickable links. it's quite bizarre, actually.
First of all, the links that are NOT clickable, were created by right clicking on a web page and choosing "send link" from the shortcut menu. That method takes you to one's default email application, with the URL immediately placed within the body of the email. Then you select a recipient and hit "send". for whatever reason, that method isn't creating a clickable link.
How I can get a clickable link: by going through the above steps, but ADDING AN EXTRA STEP, I can get a clickable link. Here is how: once you see the email link within the email editor window, copy and paste the link text and paste it below the original text. It will APPEAR the same, BUT it will make a clickable link on the received email, on the Bionic. VERY STRANGE...
(If you go back to the sent email on the computer, BOTH URL's appear as clickable links, (at least in Thunderbird, the way mine is set up) but for whatever reason, the original link text on line one, doesn't appear to be a link on the Bionic. )
Since my wife is the primary person that sends me links, I showed her how to quickly create clickable links for me. that will come in handy for her too, when she wants to send herself links to her upcoming Bionic (13 Nov).
