Yes you should be able to go into Settings/Apps and find the stock email client and DISABLE it.

Then make sure your GMAIL is setup to receive all the email accounts you want. You may have to setup some of them from desktop computer or if you have the latest GMAIL 5.0 you can setup most email accounts on there too.

Yes, you can do what the other post says or just don't login into your emails via the native account. The only way to get notifications from it is if you logged into your email via the native app. You can disable it or just remove your email account from it.
