Transferring data from Internal to External storage?

Hi Everyone,

Just a general inquiry, which android version supports the transfer from Internal storage to External storage? I am using a Samsung Galaxy Tab A 2016 or 2017 i think, and it runs on Android 5.0. I can't seem to transfer a lot of application that I've downloaded from the App Store. Is it really made like this or the latest Android version supports a more powerful version that allows transfer of applications from internal storage to external storage?

I do hope you guys can educate me on this.

The "Move to SD" feature is still available on more recent Samsung devices, but I'm not sure if you can do it this way on an older device: https://www.sammobile.com/news/how-to-move-apps-to-sd-card-on-galaxy-s9

My advice even you can , don't use the SD card as internal storage or put app Data to off load there, keep for basic photos, documents , videos but back those up also. SD cards can get corrupt and cause issues
