Mod note: Moved to General Help and How To, for better traffic. The initial choice was fine, but for more eyes, this is probably better.

As for your question: Is there anyway you can borrow a Windows PC from a friend? If you can, the ROM files would be on either Samsung updates or Sammobile. And then you would need a copy of Odin.

You can check these out:

Re: Galaxy s2 boot loop

I just thought of a couple more ideas after hitting submit:

1. You might want to try rebooting into recovery. Pull the battery and reinsert. Recovery can be booted following this: http://forums.androidcentral.com/sa...ing-into-recovery-mode-galaxy-s2-s3-tab2.html

2. While the battery is out, place it on a smooth flat surface, like a desk, and try to spin it. If it spins freely, there is a bulge in the center of the battery, and needs to be replaced. The bulge creates a pivot point, and causes a disconnect and a reconnect at the battery connection.

Also, welcome to Android Central.
