I recently was on a backpacking trip and used my Moto E to record several videos. However, after the trip I found that a few of them will not open. I don't know what is different between them and the others; the videos did occur during a tricky section of our hike in which the phone may have gotten slightly wet (it was stored in my pocket which may have been lightly splashed with water or humidity from me sweating). It was not visibly wet by any means.
Anyways, the video files in question are in mp4 format, and appear to contain 0 bytes of data. I have tried a few video file recovery apps, and they have not worked (usually say something like 'file cannot be found').
Any idea what's going on ? Are these videos lost for good? Were they never actually recorded in the first place (thus the 0 byte size))?
It would suck to lose these videos.
